Synthetic blood?

Category: , , ,

stemcellsPeople don’t like the fact that fertilized eggs are being used for testing. But the thing is that this testing of cruel proportions came out of need. People get cancer, and science is there to come up with a cure. People are born with a disease, science comes to the rescue again. But in this case, it is preventable.

Science and researchers are joining forces again to use stem cells to make something new, while kinda destroying something that could have been. Researchers are currently undergoing the possibility of “making” blood. Yes, you read correctly, making blood. This form of blood will be obviously synthetic because of the fact that it has, was, will be made in a science lab.

As you know, stem cell research is highly controversial because of the way it is done. It is made be creating a human embryo and then using the cells inside that embryo to create new cures. A life for a life. I spoke to one of my friends about this issue and all he had to say was that “destroying for science is still killing a life.” He does have a point I have to admit.

Teenage pregnancy is becoming the “new” thing

teenpregnancy Back in the 1960s a man and a woman got married and had a baby because they loved each other. If a man and woman had a baby out of the blue, the man was cultured to get married to the momma and help raise the baby. If man failed to do so, his dad would beat him into submission. What happened to those days?

Everyday and everywhere I go and look, I see teenage girls with either a pregnant belly or about to have one (don’t ask how I’d know). They are with guys that are, sometimes, 15 years older than they themselves are. I look at them, the teenaged girls, and they look soo happy! But under all that happiness there is a female that is overwhelmed by the power of a man.

The Yawn Explained: It Cools Your Brain : Discovery News

A new study found out, kinda, why we yawn... As we all know, at least most of us, the brain is more or less like a computer. It has the power to run multiple calculations and tasks at one time. A task that not even a room full of the world's most powerful computers can handle. All that power makes heat. Well, the study says that the reason why we yawn is because our brain is heating up. I for one did notice that when I breath through my nose, my yawning stops. This is because fresh or cooled air is in contact with the base of the brain and dispersing that coolness to the rest of the brain.

Click The Yawn Explained from Discover News for more information. You just might learn a bit more than I did :)
