Auto Zone violates rights?

2

Category:

I was surfing around online today for some Auto Zone research when I came across this little nifty article titled “Report: Auto Zone Employee.”

I read on thinking it was a little complaint. But as I read on, it didn’t seem like it was.

Ok so now my story and why I’m posting this. I am an active Auto Zone employee who is Hispanic at least. Now when my rights are violated, I’ll fight back physically, verbally, and psychologically. If you’re white and you call me a spic, I’ll tell you go get your mom and dad and to take a boat back to Britain where your ancestor's came from. Still talking? I’ll sit on you. Still talking? I’ll abuse your mind!

But that’s not the point of me here today. My point is that a Hispanic AutoZoner had his rights violated. Being from Mexican decent, he spoke Spanish to Spanish speaking customers. Communication is the most important thing when it comes to getting the right part out to a customer.

If you read up on his complaint, and try to convert his bad spelling and grammar, you too will see that he must have been mistreated.

Now it saddens me even more to see that little American’s who’s ancestor's not to mention were from another country, just made his complaint a joke. I do support English as a primary language but I also believe that other languages should be tolerated. Because America is built and sustained from immigrants. Don’t believe me? Look it up. The English took over America because their queen was charging too many taxes. Those who came here were immigrants themselves.

Now my closing argument, if you are racist, remember your origins. You might have been born in America, but your blood line traces from beyond these borders.

Happy New Year’s. Keep it safe and fun. Don’t drink and drive, we want to go home not a hospital.

Here comes the new year!!!

0

Category: , , ,

As we all know the new year comes with fun, games, beer, and firecrackers! But for most of us there’s an extra thing that goes in the celebrating a new year, and that’s the “New Year’s Resolution.” It means what you’re going to do different in the coming new year.

The majority of us say “lose weight” while the rest try to do better in life. So what should you really do for your New Year’s resolution? Personally, do to others what you’d want others to do for you. Simply meaning feed the need, home the orphaned, and maybe give your best friend a hug.

We all make promises for ourselves. Promising that we’re going to lose weight, that we’re going to change our living habits, and even going green. But those promises go unattended and after a while, we forget about those promises. So why not do something that doesn’t only make you feel all bubbly inside but at the same time help other people while you’re at it. :)

Caylee Anthony

What narcissistic mind would kill their child? Who would go out dancing after their child is “missing?” Go out drinking and banging friends? Although I’m not a parent, I think I know the feeling of losing a child. What would I have done if my child went missing? I’d call 9-1-1 not even 24 hours later, call up my family and friends, and prepare to be prime suspect number one.

It is sad to think that Casey Anthony, or anyone at that matter, would even kill their own child. From what I’ve heard and read, Casey is a narcissistic bitch! The attention was being draw away from her so she killed poor little Caylee. Now she has attention and 1,000 lesbians in different prisons just waiting and wishing for her to get to their prison.

I hope justice is brought to that rat. She isn’t even hot so I don’t know why she is soo narcissistic.

In memory of a little child, Caylee Anthony. May she rest in peace.

Am I good enough?

0

Category: , ,

Everyday there are supermodels, people with “sexy” bodies, and the role models that are whoring themselves. They are on everything from tents to shampoo, commercials to magazines. So am I really good enough to fit in?

I think I am. I breath air, I have a heart that beats, and I have a soul. Should I “try” to fit in?

Well if you want me to go anorexic and diminish my life to just eating one leaf of lettuce per day then I ain’t going to try to fit in. People now are so into what they see on TV and the magazines that they forget the best person they can be is inside them. The personality.

Hannah Montana slash Miley Cyrus makes it seem ok to be a schitzo. Jamie Lynn Spears makes it seem ok to be a pregnant single teen. Selena Gomez makes it seem ok to be a whore.

Yet teens that look up to them just don’t see the fact of what those “super stars” really are. I’m not sexist, so look at the Jonas Brothers. Sharing girls puts a bad image on guys. Makes guys think it’s ok to sleep around with other girls while on tour.

No wonder so many teens have band babies.

I think I am good enough to fit in even though I don’t have the looks, money, and fame. I don’t need a six pack and 50 unknown girls by my side to make me feel good. I’m the average person who loves to talk poopie and has an open mind. So screw you all rich people who are “OMG! I’m going to gain weight with one fry.” And “I love Earth so I ask you to use one sheet of toilet paper.”

Laterz my fellow readers :)

Audras' Top 5 Most Hated Words and Phrases of 2008

I kissed a girl.

It seems that every time I look up, or take my headphones from my ears, I hear someone, somewhere, saying SOMETHING about kissing a girl.  And let me say that I could care less if you kissed one girl or one billion girls.  I could care less if you liked kissing a girl.  I am sick of hearing about it!  The song isn't any good, the lyrics are no good, and Katy Perry is no good.  If I never hear this again, it'll be too soon.

But I've barely even started here; that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Casey Anthony.

I know I'm going to get lambasted for this one, but I for one am growing very weary hearing about Casey Anthony and Caylee Anthony every waking moment.  I think this was a very sad story, and I pray for their family.  But day in and day out...do I really have to hear every single second how Casey Anthony seems to be the perpetrator?  Do I really have to sit in front of the television, letting those insipid, scrawny little on-air personalities (Nancy Grace) argue with others so sophomorically for so long about nothing more than how they "think" that Casey Anthony might have killed her daughter?  (Like we didn't already know this.)

Twilight, the Jonas Brothers

Every year teenaged girls fall for the same predictable bullshit.  This year, it was the book Twilight and the Jonas Brothers.  I don't even need to talk about the latter, so I'll discuss the former.  Twilight was ridiculous, and the hype surrounding the book and the movie exacerbated this problem.  All over America, brainless teenagers (and some really, really smart teenaged girls who just got sucked in) fell for Twilight.  And talked my fucking head off about it.  And talked some more.  And talked some more.

When will you shut the fuck up about Twilight?  After this year, I want to rename twilight - you know, that period between dusk and darkness - to something else.  I cringe just hearing the word.

Maverick and Change.

I shouldn't even have to explain myself.  But I'm tired of Obama saying "CHANGE," and McCain calling himself a "MAVERICK."  Neither are true - Obama screwed up by getting Hillary Clinton, Timothy Geithner, and Rahm Immanuel; McCain disproved his "maverick" claim by voting with Bush 90% of the time.  (And that's without going into the whole shebang about how Obama and McCain voted together some 75% of the time.)

And finally, the biggest no-brainer ever:

ECONOMIC CRISIS.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand we're in the worst place we've been since the Great Depression, and that we're going to face another depression, and that all the money that's being printed will cause a Weimar Republic-styled bout of hyperinflation.  But every time I turn on the TV, I hear about this crisis.  And I wouldn't care if they told us the facts, but they're choosing to instill fear.  They're fearmongers, just like neocons and Weight Watchers.

You shouldn't be scared of anything.  If you have your weapons, your ammo, your gold and silver, your food, your water, your family, and your God, you'll be perfectly fine.  If you don't, you'll still be perfectly fine.  This country won't make it through this time, but I assure you that no matter what happens, we'll turn out alright.

censored Music!

0

Category:

A lot of todays best music is censored.  It's not fair to the peoples over 18.  Parents are so worried about there children listening to music with bad language and nudity and blame it on the aurther when honestly i believe its there own fault. Don't want your children to hear bad language or see  a little nudity on the music videos or cds then censor it yourself what they watch and hear. Just because they  can't listen or hear it doesn't mean its fair for us older people. I myself am 18, my parents never allowed me to listen to or watch any of that, they always kept me sheltered or at least tried to. but there is always away around it. What about when children visit the friends, go to school and stuff like that? now a days its hard for us adults to find a good cd were its not censored and sounds like crap. what are we supose to hear? censored music gets more adults and children 18- to download illegal music online just because its not censored. Maybe if there was more uncensored music at the stores older people would be able to buy them instead of getting illgal copies. Try going to the store, walmart or anyother stores its hard to find music without being censored. it realy does suck! maybe they should just make an age limit on who can buy the uncensored  music cd, maybe parents can just put locks on certin chanels on the televishion? you can do that people! its possible ^_^ Freedom of speech!! it rocks! wohoo!!

Windows 7 just might top the cake!

0

Category:

I’ve seen alot of previews and leaks from YouTube so I figured that I wanted to get my hands on Windows 7. I did some hunting for some information on “trying” out Windows 7 without even cracking it or whatnot. I didn’t really find any legal way but what I did find was a few bloggers that stated that P2P torrent engine’s had Windows 7 so they “tried” it.

I’m not going to say where, who, or how I got my version but I found one. Legal or not legal, I didn’t violate Microsoft’s TOS.

So here’s my little review.

  • I am going to buy Windows 7 when it comes out, why? Because how the whole interface is. When you first set up Windows 7, it’s faster and easier to set up than Windows Vista, you get this home comfort feeling. It almost feels like it’s a part of you.
  • The boot logo is FRIGGIN AWESOME! 4 little colored dots (red, green, blue, & yellow) spin around and meet to make the Windows logo.
  • The login page (where you enter your password) is the best ever! Like I said, it’s got this home feeling.
  • The desktop interface is the sleekest Windows as ever been!

Now let me talk about the awesome cool little features you’ll be able to use once you got it.

  • Having a full screen can sometimes be annoying. Windows 7 “kinda” fixes that. Move the mouse to the title-bar, left-click, drag down. It “Restores down) right there.
  • Don’t feel like aiming your mouse to the “Maximize” button once you got a small window? Left-click the title-bar and drag the window to the very top of the screen and let go of the mouse. It’ll maximize :)
  • Boring wallpaper? The wallpapers can change! Like a slideshow!

All in all, Microsoft really went all out on 7. Though I could have picked a different name like Windows Solar or Windows Essence something other than a number. I get why it’s called Windows 7 as it is the 7th major release of Windows but why “7”?

Ah, anywho. There’s my little review on Windows 7.

Please note, downloading illegal files of any kind from torrent sites is illegal. If it is free, more likely it has to be paid for. Don’t risk your time and freedom on such insane risks. Also note that the copy I got is a standard copy that has no cracked time. It expires within 30 days.

Christmas is coming!

0

Category: , , ,

It’s already December 21, 2008 and now with just 4 days until Christmas is here, I haven’t gotten what I wanted. Many of us already know that feeling. It feels bad. Especially when you really want to give something for someone you love and you just can’t because of the hard times we’re faced with right now.

But hey, money isn’t everything. It really is the thought that counts. Get your wife, husband, children and go out to the movies. Spend time with them and have a happy and jolly Christmas. Be happy and celebrate what’s important, your family.

My mother and father live on a fixed income and I try my best to help them but the stresses of needing money for just about everything really bums me down. Just for once, I wish one day everyone can have what they want and need for free. People are dying from AIDS, people have cancer’s that are incurable, people are poor and crippled. Just for one day, that’d make them the happiest people ever.

I’m not as cold hearted as I might have seemed in me other post about Mexican’s going back to where they come from, I just my opinions and feelings :)

There are children that don’t have a father to spend this holiday with, there are mother’s without their child’s fathers, there are kids without mothers and father’s of children without the mother. Think you’re going to have a bad Christmas? Don’t think that, Christmas is supposed to be happy. Don’t do it for yourself, do it for others. Give a gift to a homeless man, give a hug to a cancer victim, give happiness to a stranger :)

I really do wish everyone on this little planet called Earth a happy and a joyous Christmas.

And remember, don’t drink and drive. People want to get home safe and sound not go to the hospital for your actions :)

Peace be with everyone.

MySpace teams up with RIAA!

Category: , ,

MySpace blog announcement

Today, MySpace accounced the blocking of the ProjectPlaylist.com embeds. RIAA has been kicking ass when it comes to killing P2P and free music. Apparently it really hurts the RIAA when people download "illegal" and free music.

So why did MySpace make this move? MySpace is the most popular internet social network in the world. MySpace has music artists known and unknown to us normal people. The majority of those known and unknown music artists make millions of dollars per year on their music. Understandably, I'd be mad if people "stole" my creations. But an album that takes 3 months to make and makes me a few million dollars, I'd be happy to share for free. After I get back what I had to pay for, producers, CD making, editing, advertisements, etc.

ProjectPlaylist announcement

But think about this, those artists put up concerts. Concerts to me for them are a way to make even MORE money. Each seat in a concert is averaged at $70. In an average arena, it can seat 15,000 people. Not to mention those that are standing. Let's do some basic GED math :) $70 x 15,000 = 1,050,000. Each night, an artist or band makes one million and fifty thousand dollars ($1,050,000). Minus the payment to use it, which pays for security, food, and employee costs. We're now looking at, at least $900,000. That is PER concert, which when artists tour, that is about 50 concerts. $50,000,000 per year and they still have the damn nerve to complain!

That's not all, iTunes, Napster, MySpace, and other services that sell music give a portion to those artists. STINGY!

No wonder there are P2P MP3 download programs :)

With that said, MySpace along with the artists are in it for the $$$.

You decide. Comment, share, keep it uncensored!

Amnesty vs Border protection

0

Category: , , ,

Amnesty has been a big talk lately. So is it really a good thing or it's just a bad thing?

Consider what amnesty does. It provides illegal aliens freedom and protection from our country. Now consider what border protection does. It is supposed to stop incoming aliens and protect America's economy and safety. Yet America has both...

As far as I know, America is the only nation in the world that protects and kicks out illegal immigrants.

I strongly support anti-amnesty for a few reasons.

  1. Amnesty brings non tax paying people to America. They get money from us and don't pay back

  2. Every time one gets hurt, we PAY not them or their government.

  3. What happens when a child is born from amnesty parents? They stay here.

  4. Spanish is becoming America's second language.

Now before you start calling me a racist son of a b!tch, know one thing, I am a hispanic/mutt. I was born to a 3/4 Mexican and 1/4 Indian mother and my father is 3/4 Mexican and 1/4 African-American. Before you talk, know who I am. I just don't like my tax money going to rich people and Mexican's that claim they are looking for jobs. Because all of us know deep inside that illegal Mexican's are just here for better things that they don't have in Mexico.

Wanna be a US citizen, earn it! Time is a vurtue, time isn't what illegals want.

That's my say... I know everyone has their opinions, unleash them. Comment your thoughts.

Fla. police close books on '81 Walsh killing - Yahoo! News

0

Category: , , , ,

Time is of the utmost precious thing anyone can ever cling to when something so tragic as losing a child and later finding out your only child has been murdered. John Walsh, the host "America's Most Wanted," was in tears and thankful for the detectives for finding the killer of Adam Walsh, son of John Walsh.

The news aired on CNN news and MSNBC by as far as I know.

The murderer of Adam Walsh, Ottis Toole, died in prison for murders unrelated to Adam Walsh's murder. He was serving 5 life sentences for those other murders.

Toole had confessed of the murder to his niece while Toole was in his deathbed.

Bush ducks the shoes

1

Category: , , , , , , ,

Well this is an expected blog post here :) As some of you already know, Bush was attacked! Well not really. He was attacked with a pair of nice Iraqi shoes.

The soon to be former President Bush made an unannounced press conference in Baghdad, Iraq on Monday December 15, 2008 when in the middle of it a pretty pissed off Iraqi news corespondent threw his shoes at the President of the United States. Apparently, the sole of the shoe is supposed to be an outraged insult from one Iraqi to another. Sadly Bush isn't an Iraqi and ducked, not one, but two of the shoes.

The Iraqi news corespondent was quickly tackled by Bush's little guards and taken away from the area.

You just don't know how much it makes me laugh just to see Bush scared of a shoe. Sadly, and most of you can agree with me, Bush was NOT hit by the two shoes. If he was, this would be BIG TIME NEWS all around the world. "Mr. Bush hit and given a black eye by a shoe." "An insult was given to Bush in the most extreme of Iraqi terms." Do you know how the USA would look of our Bush got hit? He's already an idiot, he would have made all of America look like idiots!

The Yawn Explained: It Cools Your Brain : Discovery News

0

Category: , , , ,

A new study found out, kinda, why we yawn... As we all know, at least most of us, the brain is more or less like a computer. It has the power to run multiple calculations and tasks at one time. A task that not even a room full of the world's most powerful computers can handle. All that power makes heat. Well, the study says that the reason why we yawn is because our brain is heating up. I for one did notice that when I breath through my nose, my yawning stops. This is because fresh or cooled air is in contact with the base of the brain and dispersing that coolness to the rest of the brain.

Click The Yawn Explained from Discover News for more information. You just might learn a bit more than I did :)

A Day without Gays harms the cause

0

Category:

Today was the Day without Gays.  The point of this day was to bring attention to homosexual contributions to this country.  I think this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, and one of the biggest contradictions I've heard in months.

Gay rights are stupid if you ask me.  And no, it's not because I'm some bigot from West Virginia or something like that - actually, quite the opposite - I'm a very tolerant and loving Christian, as my Bible tells me to be.  Gay rights are stupid because drawing attention onto a group of people via a label creates more animosity than it addresses.  It is blatantly obvious that you cannot support "gay rights" without being overzealously supportive, and you cannot oppose these "rights" without being overzealously bigoted and spiteful.

I believe there is one solution to this problem - individualism.  Individualism is the cornerstone of liberty - the more we understand that we are all unique, that there is no one person like us, that there is no fair reason or way to group similar people with us, the better off we are.  Collectivism has all but destroyed this country, and it is time that it be rid of completely, to preserve what's left of this once-great Republic.

Individualism wouldn't do away with prejudices completely in this country, I understand.  I know that all our problems won't go away overnight.  But we have to learn that we are all unique and that we have to stop grouping people together so much.  If you are gay, you need to act and think on your own, rather than take your marching orders from the "leaders of the gay community," who care much more about your money than your well-being, just as the leaders of any minority community.

Now, this ties into gay rights very well when you sit and think for a moment.  The pseudo-right wing* wants to ban gay marriage on the federal level, and the left wing wants to make gay marriage legal on the federal level.  Both are tyranny in the worst form.  The true solution is one people NEVER think of these days: get the government out completely.

Government marriage is a violation of the separation of church and state anyway, because these marriage licenses exist only so that Christian couples who were not of the same race who wanted a church marriage could get one legally.  Note the word "Christian."  Today, we have atheists obtaining Christian marriages for tax benefits, which is against both the Bible and the Constitution, because that's basically having a state-sponsored religion, and that's having non-Christians take Christian oaths.  We need to stop this practice now, before gay people have the right to marry, because it is NOT liberty as you perceive it.  Gay people should have the right to love whomever they choose, but neither homosexuals nor heterosexuals should have to obtain a marriage license to love.

Not to mention another probable government practice that will arise: branding and tracking.  Sure, two people of the same gender will have the "right" to marry, but one thing I fear is a homophobic president who would have all these gay couples rounded up and sent to forced labor camps or something for their beliefs.  (Research REX 84 and Operation Garden Plot - the camps are not a figment of my imagination.)

The best way to live in this country is without government tracking, without labels and collective judgments.  Gay people have the same rights as everyone else; to realize this truth, the homosexuals of America should cast away their zealous quest of "gay marriage," and the bigots of America should cast away their zealous hatred of those who are gay.

One more note before I draw this first entry to a close.  Christians, more so than anyone else, should realize that prejudice is wrong (only God has that power, which He will use on Judgment Day).  In the Bible, the first book of the New Testament is Matthew.  In the seventh chapter of the book, Jesus says this:

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Also, as far as the individualism argument, the Bible also has these to say: the first from 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, the second from the same chapter of the book, but from verse 27:
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Christians, keep a note of that; it might come in handy one day, one day soon.  And everyone remember that we are individuals, not members of groups; America could improve unbelievably quickly if we all kept that in mind.

Another Bush?

0

Category: , ,

As if we need a reminder of Bush in Obama, the US Supreme Court turned down the review of Obama's citizenship. Meaning they don't wanna look at it. I figured that if any court, it'd be the Supreme Court that'd want to look into matters like this.

"WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court has turned down an emergency appeal from a New Jersey man who says President-elect Barack Obama is ineligible to be president because he was a British subject at birth. The court did not comment on its order Monday rejecting the call by Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J., to intervene in the presidential election."

I don't know how that man would know, but he says he knows. Kinda reminds me of Bush's take over back in 2000.

I know you guys have your comments, share them here :)

Where am I going?

You know, it's funny how people react to me when I tell them that I'm confused when it comes to religion. They ask, "what religion are?" I honestly tell them, "I don't know." Then they ask something along the lines of, "Do you believe in God?" At this point the kinda start taking steps back and I tell them, "Not the so called loving God that's in the Bible." And in the end, I really don't know what I am between Atheist, Agnostic, or Deist. But in the end, they look at me like a murderer. I bet if I were a murderer turned religious they'd accept me.

Yahoo! Messenger was down for service

Category:

Well as if Yahoo! Messenger users weren't mad enough already, Yahoo! had an unfortunate power issue.

"We are performing maintenance on our systems due to an unplanned
power equipment issue at one of our third-party co-location facilities." - Yahoo Messenger Blog

Sadly it took Yahoo! just shy under 3 hours to get it fixed. This time though, I don't blame Yahoo! or Yahoo! Messenger for this mishap. I know the stresses this might have caused when the servers have issues.

Reading through the comments, I saw and felt anger through the comments. This really pissed off some usres. I personally didn't feel the brunt of it  because I was sleeping and counting sheep.

Do rest assured though, Yahoo! being a big company does have alot at stake. Making their users mad can cost them business. One thing I am still mad about though is that Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2034, it is the buggiest Yahoo! Messenger 9 has ever been. Sadly enough, Yahoo! Messenger cut off the Vista version of Yahoo! Messenger. Vowing never bring it back...

Please give Yahoo! "some" slack. Don't burn down the Yahoo! headquarters, just convey your anger to how you use Yahoo! Messenger. This is probably the best advise I can give to all Yahoo! Messenger users.

Other alternatives to Yahoo! Messenger are Pidgin or Trillian

Opera 10 Alpha is up for testing!

0

Category: , , ,

On December 4, 2008 Opera released Opera 10.00 Alpha for testing. I just got the message for it kinda late, 3AM to be exact. I downloaded it, tested it, and recorded my preview. So far, I'm blogging from Opera 10.00 Alpha and there's no real big issues. Besides the little screen break that happens.

I did notice that while I installed it, it was to be installed under a different folder so I assumed that it wasn't going to overwrite me Opera 9.62 but it did. Ido warn that if you plan to install Opera 10 Alpha, backup your old Opera and your Opera bookmarks. Because my Opera bookmarks were removed and replaced with the default Opera bookmarks.

All in all, I give this little program a 4 out of 5 stars :) Even though it is in Alpha stage.

Yahoo! teasing Vista users?

0

Category: , ,

Feedback Although it's been a month already since Yahoo! Messenger completely cut Yahoo! Messenger for Vista, they are still advertising it. It's a sad thought that a company that promises a product, cuts it away from it's users, then still tease us users later with it.

I prefer to call this "falsely advertising" because they still advertise us to get Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Beta even though it's no longer offered. If you are on a Vista machine, go to http://downloads.yahoo.com/ and scroll down to the Yahoo! Messenger download box. It says Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Beta. It is no longer being offered though Yahoo! still has it up. If you click the Download button, you'll go the download page of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.

Now if you click the back button of your browser and then click "More Info" where the advertisement of Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Beta you'll see:

Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Beta
This version of Yahoo! Messenger
is built from the ground up for
Windows Vista. Enjoy new
emoticons, tabbed conversations
and a new sidebar gadget that
allows you to always keep tabs on
your closest friends.
Go to Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Beta

False Advertisement

It says nothing about getting Yahoo! Messenger 9.0. Seems like false advertisement to me :)

So should we, the Vista users who were led to believe and hoped for a new Vista only product, sue Yahoo!? I think that's going to far. I think we should finally boycott Yahoo!

This is now a war, Vista users VS Yahoo! Deception should not go unattended. Falsely advertising products should be the last thing on the minds of  a big corperate company like Yahoo! They failed us once and now they are lying.

Boycott Yahoo!

WMD attack in 5 years is "likely"

0

Category: , ,

We all know how secure our nukes are. Get near a nuke base and you'll get warned and escorted out... Get passed the guards and chances are you'll leave in a body bag before you even get close enough to see the nukes. Well a new "report" came out stating that a WMD (nuclear, biological, or a chemical) attack is "likely" within the next 5 years.

Personally, I don't know who those people who did the report talk to, but doesn't it sound like a little bit of propaganda? Obama, a newbie, is now elected as president and now this? Check this out, "A commission set up by the US Congress is due to reveal that America's "margin of safety" is shrinking, not growing." - BBC News

Creepy huh? I guess Mr. Bush didn't really work that one out to his advantage, yet what has he worked to his advantage let alone ours? I personally think this is a scary thought if it is to be a real report. Why? Because our attempts to secure ourselves has failed. America, has spent so much money, billions upon billions, to be secured. From our Mexican border to our Canadian border, which Mexican's and Canadian's can still walk across to the USA, from our Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico ports to our Pacific ports. Left and right, new agencies being created to fight "terrorism."

But I ain't really worried about our nukes, I'm really worried about the ones Iran "might" have and the ones that Pakistan has which aren't as secure as they say.

I guess the old, diabetic, 6 foot tall Arab, bin Laden hasn't learned his lesson. Years of running still don't click to him. I'm sure the government is going to blame him. Geez, I should blame him for a flat tire I got last week...

Yet all in all, I'd say it's just a propaganda slug aimed at us American's. A way to test to see what our new future president will do.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Category:

As of today, December 02, 2008, we've discontinued our old blog hosted by Blogspot.  We aren't mad at Blogger or Google, they were our birthplace of Thoughts Uncensored. We just discontinued it because some people were asking if our old blog was a hijack of this one. Generally, you'd think the same if you see the same posts found here on another blog.

We'd like to thank Google for having Blogger. Without it, we'd never have a voice.

Though there are many pros to having a Blogger hosted blog. The host is free, you never pay for anything. And well you can post and post as much as you want. With pros there are cons, the only con that we know about is the lack of a personal domain (http://www.thoughtsuncensored.com/) instead you only get (http://example.blogspot.com/).

It isn't much to get a domain and still have free hosting from Blogger. Go to GoDaddy.com and sign up for a domain name ($1.99/year) and follow the instructions Blogger has on how to link your domain name to Blogger. Easy!

So we hope to see more freethinking bloggers going on Blogger, or getting a domain and hosting from GoDaddy.

World AIDS Day 2008

0

Category: , , ,

For 20 years, a foundation has been trying to get AIDS awareness. That foundation has turned into a campaign. Today, that campaign still try's to bring awareness of the all mighty killer, AIDS.

"The 1st of December, World AIDS Day, is the day when individuals and organizations from around the world come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Whilst we have come a long ways since 1988, there is still much more to be done." - World AIDS Campaign

The numbers are startling on how many people are infected. And when you consider the numbers, it's a scary number for daily infections.
"...there are now 33.2 million people living with HIV, including 2.5 million children. During 2007 some 2.5 million people became newly infected with the virus. Around half of all people who become infected with HIV do so before they are 25 and are killed by AIDS before they are 35." - Avert

2.5 Million means just over 6,500 people were infected each day in 2007...

Learn about AIDS and HIV. Learn how to keep safe. Then practice what you've learned. Pass it on. Knowledge is as good as its teacher.

Information about AIDS awareness can be found all over the web. But I've taken the time to get a list of 10 websites.

  1. Avert

  2. World AIDS Campaign

  3. World AIDS Day 2008

  4. US Dept. Human Services - World AIDS Day

  5. United Nations - World AIDS Day

  6. UNAIDS

  7. Wikipedia

  8. Catholic Relief Services

  9. Center for Disease Control and Prevention

  10. AIDS.gov

If I can do it, you can too. It just took me 15 minutes to get all the links and after the 3rd link I was already reading about AIDS myself. It's easy to look up AIDS awareness.

Good luck :)

Yahoo! Messenger doesn't want feedback

0

Category: , , , ,

Well, I've been checking my little RSS feeds from the Yahoo! Messenger blog. Nothing thus far. Yet one thing I noticed. All comments from recent posts have been disabled. So what does that mean? I'm pretty sure that you know what it means.

Every Vista user that has Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2034 is pissed. We are so pissed that the Yahoo! Messenger Product Manager Sarah Bacon is over-whelmed with the issues. The issues being that Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2034 is a failure along with Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 itself.

Up until today, I was being very nice to Sarah and the rest of the staff. But not anymore. I'm a pissed off little Yahoo! Messenger user that is on Vista.

Now, I'm not going to trade my Vista PC for an outdated XP PC just to use Yahoo! Messenger. It's not worth getting infected for that. But here's one thing I do know, I pay for some of the Yahoo! services and so I expect my money's worth. That's why I'm a pissed off blogger.

Yahoo! better get their little preteen balls on the roll before more people get more pissed off and boycott the crap outta Yahoo! Ever notice their stocks? They are trading at 11 dollars and change. This time last year they were trading a bit more than twice as today's trade. Ain't much but you can see the downfall.

I just wished that Microsoft would have bought them out. I'm sure as hell they would have already had MSN Yahoo! Messenger for Vista 1.0 pushed out January 2008.

Ok well it's late so I'll post about something else later :) G' night and may your God or god be with you.

Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 not for Vista

2

Category: , , ,

Everyday it is becoming more apparent that Yahoo! Messenger isn't really playing along for the users that are using Vista. I myself blog and run this site primarily from Windows Vista Home Premium running with SP1. Personally, I haven't had any problems with the Y! IM 9.0.0.2018. But since the release of Y! IM 9.0.0.2034 I'm now one of the pissed off users of Yahoo Messenger.

So now being a pissed off little blogger who gets 100+ views per day, I'm now going to be referring Yahoo Messenger users to some Yahoo Messenger alternatives.

Here's a list of what I've found:

  1. Pidgin 2.5.2

  2. Trillian 3.1.11.0

  3. Adium 1.3.2

  4. Miranda IM 0.7.13

Only ones I do know about are Pidgin and Trillian. Pidgin is found by default in the popular open-source OS Ubuntu. As for Trillian, I had used it as an alternative when I had just gotten Vista and when Yahoo Messenger 8.1 was acting... as if it were dropped while a newborn.

All four mentioned above are all free for private use and all work with Yahoo Messenger accounts. Not to mention, they work flawlessly with Vista and Vista SP1. Kinda sad for a large company like Yahoo can't control their own software but other 3rd party software's work better.

Oh, and let me not forget, all four programs named above work with multiple accounts. If you are like me, 2 Yahoo, 2 Hotmail, 2 AOL accounts, you can sign into all of your favorite messenger IDs just by using one program :)

I wonder if Yahoo can beat that :)

Windows OneCare dead – Microsoft says it’s not

1

Category: , , , , , ,

Already, just after 3 years of the release of Windows Live OneCare, Microsoft is stopping the production and support of OneCare. Microsoft has “signed the death sentence” for the “all-in-one PC-care solution” say a popular Microsoft new source SoftPedia. The death sentence was November 18, 2008.

Come June 2009, sales of the Windows Live OneCare licenses will not be sold anymore. Microsoft stated that OneCare wasn’t a failure, but more like a strategy designed to deliver a solution focused more on customer protection.

More or less, they were saying that OneCare wasn’t enough to protect their users, so it kinda failed. Like Vista, they learned from their first “superior” product.

So I bet you are dying to know if Microsoft is going to even come out with another all in one antivirus, anti malware, and other anti’s? That’s where the all out successor of Windows Live OneCare comes in.

Code named Morro will be released by Microsoft, for free to all it’s users. Yes, free to all of Microsoft Windows’ users. And this just might be the first free program that does what it’s users want.

Ok now what about the current members and users that will have bought Windows Live OneCare in June 2009? Those people still will be able to use OneCare. Only until their subscription ends. Microsoft kinda cares :)

More information can be found here on SoftPedia’s site.

Another conspiracy or just a coincident!?

0

Category: , , , ,

Well, I am a bit new at this so forgive me if this is crap. I heard along the grape vine one day that Barack Obama is related to President Bush. Not only did i think it was a lie, but it was quite depressing to me if it were true. So of course I did my research. What I found was a bit scary to me since i did vote for Obama, not only was he related to President Bush but also Dick Cheney. Now I don't know about you but I find that a bit unusual. Some people would say that this is a conspiracy, Obama taking over and finishing what Bush has started, Obama has a Muslim name, and with the whole twin towers..etc etc. Now I am hoping that he is the "better" of the pick and it's just coincidence that he is related to them, can't choose your relatives ....right? Also he is related to : President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, like we discussed also his father, George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Lyndon Johnson, Harry S. Truman and James Madison. British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and Civil War General Robert E. Lee. He may have a interesting family background but what do you think about this?  Some sort of conspiracy or just plain coincident?

Amber Alert for Thoughts Uncensored - New Widget

0

Category: , , , , ,

There's been a new Amber Alert for my area and I just tremble at the thought of some kidnapping an innocent child. So I've added a new little widget on the right side panel called "Amber Alert."

The Amber Alert system was brought out to us by need. Originally it was named in loving memory of Amber Hagerman, a 9 year old child, who was abducted and killed in Arlington, Texas in 1996. Technically, now it is named "America's Missing: Broadcasting Emergency Response."

The Amber Alert system has helped hundreds of missing children be found. So in consideration to many parents out there that dread the day their child might be kidnapped, I have added the little widget on this site. A little helping tip if you are on my site and there has been an Amber Alert in your area.

Remember, even if there is a car or person that "might" look like the description in the Amber system, call a local law enforcement offical. You never know if that person you saw really was the kidnapper. Better safe than sorry. Never let an opertunity to save a child, call 9-1-1 and BE SURE.

Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 – A new update to help Vista users.

4

Category:

As most of us now know, Yahoo! Messenger for Vista has been discontinued. Well that doesn’t stop Yahoo! from trying to help their users… Well kinda, the Yahoo! Messenger team pushed out a quick little update. Yahoo Messenger 9.0.0.2034 to be exact.

What will this nifty little update bring to you? Well if you are a Vista user you are just in luck! Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2034 will bring you a nifty little package to help you messenger from crashing. Cool huh?

Well sadly, we have been teased with Yahoo! Messenger for Vista so I guess the Yahoo! Messenger team now has to push as hard as they can to bring up a good Vista compatible program… I still think Yahoo! made the Vista version just for a reward :)

Nevertheless, Yahoo! is at least making progress to help their already frustrated Vista members and users of Yahoo! Messenger. You gotta give Yahoo! some credit.

For more information, visit the Yahoo! Messenger blog.

If you want to download the new upgrade, either open/sign-in to your Y! Messenger and click “Help” on the upper right side of the window. Then click on “Check for updates.” Or click this link: http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/win

Windows 7 - Is it the successor of Vista?

2

Category: , , , ,

If you haven't heard, Microsoft is already pushing out a new Windows. Windows 7. It is supposed to be the successor of Vista.

I've done a few searches to get some information from testers that are currently testing out Windows 7. From what most are saying is that Windows 7 has a feel of XP with the Vista graphical user interface, or GUI for short. Simply meaning that once you are on a WIndows 7 computer, it really feels like a Windows XP PC. The only difference, instead of having the popular XP blue task-bar, you'll have the Vista look.

Vista was Microsoft's test that went public, or as many of us kinda feel. I personally think that Vista was still supposed to be Windows 7 beta.

All in all, Windows 7 can be ran on Vista computers with ease. Since Microsoft built 7 on Vista compatible hardware, it will be a better transition from Vista to Windows 7 vs how it was with XP to Vista.

So what's up with the funky name (Windows 7)? Well up to date, there have been 6 major releases. I guess the high paid name makers and trademark dudes at Microsoft couldn't decide on a real name so they softly named the 7th major Windows release as just Windows 7. Simple huh?

As for final release, it was supposed to be shipped out January 2010 but knowing the money mistake with Vista Microsoft is pushing for the release for mid 2009. Why? Microsoft being such a big company with TONS of money, which they likey, they want the new Windows to be out before the 2009 Christmas season. I guess Windows Vista was too complicated for Microsoft they just HAD to sit back and watch the money fly out. Poor Bill Gates.

All in all I do believe Windows 7 will be the successor of Windows Vista.

I'm out, hope you like the new site too :) Cheers!

Wordpress 2.7 Beta 3 is out for testing!

0

Category: , , , , ,

I did a nightly update last night and I didn't even notice that I gotten the new update... Today I got on just to check what little, if any, comments and I saw "You are using Wordpress 2.7-beta3."

Looking at the Wordpress blog about the Wordpress 2.7 Beta 3 page, I saw an interesting thing there. "Over 160 changes" were made to improve and make Wordpress 2.7 more secure. Better for all Wordpress users.

What I noticed though and I just got what they were trying to say about the updating process is if you already have Wordpress 2.7 Beta 1 or 2 you can just click on "Tools" and click on "Update" to find out if there is an update. If there is, you'll see "There is a new version of Wordpress available for upgrade" in big "header 3" bold letters. If you see that then click "Upgrade Automatically" and then just site back and wait for your site to update. Once done, feel free to do what you were doing.

All in all, I do see little differences with the Beta 2 vs the Beta 3. It also seems to be a bit faster.

Below is a "short" list of the changes that brought Beta 3 up.

  • Numerous style improvements and refinements.

  • All admin notices now go under the page title.

  • PHP Notice fixes.

  • Dashboard widget options now properly save.

  • Menu fixes.

  • New design for Quick Edit.

  • Canonical feed URL fixes.

  • Walker fixes.

  • An update for Hello Dolly.

For the Wordpress blog, click here.
For the upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 Beta 3 click here.
If you already have 2.7 Beta 1 or 2 just hover over "Tools" on the left side and click the little arrow then click on "Update" then "Upgrade Automatically."

Lastly, remember, this is Beta. Test at your own risk. Save, backup, and use caution when updating or upgrading :)

Till next time fellow thinkers :)

MySpace 2.0 - Now you can do MORE

2

Category: , ,

Well I'd have to say this is one of MySpace's best project's that actually went up. If you haven't had a chance to get to it or just afraid that it just won't work with your layouts. Don't worry. As far as I know, Pyzam is the only site that offers MySpace 2.0 Profile layouts.

Well, if you don't know what it looks like, here's a preview of my personal MySpace page.

MySpace.com - www.myspace.com_homerm07
If you click the pic, you'll see that almost everything is kinda funny looking. The good thing about it all is that the "modules" can now be moved around. Like if you don't like the comments where they are, just drag them to where you want them to be. Cool huh?

Well now you might be curious on how to do that. I got the answers.

  • First, move your mouse up to "Profile" then move your mouse down to "Customize Profile." There you should be prompted about the change.

  • Once you get that done, check out your profile. It's changed now huh?

  • Ok now go to Pyzam.com and look for the new 2.0 layouts. Find your favorite then once you get that done, let me know....

  • Done? Good, go back to your page, then do what you did the first time. Profile>Customize Profile.

  • On the top left, kinda under the "Preview" button there's something called "CSS" that's where your copied code is going to go. I hope you remembered to copy the code of the new layout :)

  • Paste the new code there, and click "Publish" which should be the orangey / yellow button on the top right side of the screen.

  • Now click either "Home" or "Profile" this is where you're going next.

  • Click "Profile" to see the new layout

Easy huh? Well now if you want to move modules, do the same Profile>Customize Profile. But once there, just hover your mouse over any module and drag that little thing like you've never done before :)

Well, everything's ok now huh? But did you want privacy? I do, I have haters that love watching my site and my MySpace page. So block them, kinda. Once again, go to Profile>Customize Profile. Each module has little options like "Edit Module" "Collapse Module" & "Delete Module" Just click the "Edit Module" on any module (you have to do this to all modules you want private) then just choose your privacy settings. It is a hassle but once you got it done, your site will be visible but the select modules won't be.

All in all I gotta give MySpace credits for all this. They really did do something good. Now I just can't wait for the edit pictures. :)

Any troubles? Comment here or email me to homer@thoughtsuncensored.com

Below are three links to the screenshots I took.

Taylor Swift scares her fans

0

Category:

Taylor Swift, a 3x multi-platinum country/pop artist, announced on her MySpace page about "rumors" floating around that she might or is pregnant. Hey, I'm a big Taylor Swift fan so I decided to hunt around for some information to see if this was really a rumor or if my favorite country singer was really pregnant.

Well, I got to admit that some blogs were pretty convincing. Yet there were some like CelebGlitz.com that actually just waited for a confirmation which is now verified. Then I also found BlogCritics.org.

I'm assuming that Taylor Swift got caught up in this little rumor because the fact that Joe Jonas, a pop sensation and a member of the Jonahs Brothers, and Taylor Swift had kept their relationship underwraps. The media got a "little" bit mad and began the rumor.

Well, all is cleared out and Taylor Swift isn't pregnant. Check out the links for more information :)

Racists aren't aware.

1

Category: , , , , , ,

Everyday I see or hear something from someone that is racist. The apparent and obvious thing about all this is that somehow, they themselves are being racist to their own race. Well, only exception to the native American's.

What I'm getting at is white, Mexicans, India's, even black people talk about another race like it's a bad thing. Take Obama, if you are a cell phone user, haven't you noticed all the racist "FWD:" you get? The day he was elected, I got at least 20. Not to mention the day after. Although some are funny, it is apparent that if McCain, not as many messages would have floated.

A few days back, I had heard a white female talking about "spic's." Now don't get me wrong or offended here, I am a Mexican-American with white and black blood flowing in my veins. Well anyways, she was talking about how Mexicans work and that we should just work on the fields instead of taking "their" jobs, either that or we should just go back. This pissed me off and I felt like telling her the truth... Truth being that she herself is an American born immigrant.

See, what most "Nazi's" and "KKK" claimers don't like to hear or believe is that everyone, even whites, are descendants from another country. Your school's history class should tell you the rest of the story. Being racist is an uncalled for act. Hypocrites are all amongst us, and those that act racist don't realize they themselves are a race not from here.

Although I didn't respond to the stranger/female that spoke racially, I did want to. But learning from history, anyone who already has hatred on another race it always turns out bad. If you ever get spoken bad about, just smile and think that they are just being hypocrites. Because they are just descendants from another country... That is except Native American's. They still hold all rights to this country. :)

My theory - Yahoo Messenger for Vista

0

Category: , ,

Well, I've been thinking on why Yahoo would have discontinued Yahoo! Messenger for Vista. I've come to a small little possible theory. Yahoo! needs money to pay for the people that are working on the new (discontinued) messenger. Well, Yahoo is kinda tight on money right now. Especially their stocks trading at $12.20 so that means that they are tight on cash. So maybe all those high classed, intern software makers were asking too much and Yahoo! couldn't keep up with they payroll so they just laid them off. It happens.

I don't know, I was bored and started thinking about the reason why Yahoo! discontinued it.

Yahoo asks for feedback for Y! IM 9.0

0

Category: , ,

Edited: 5:07PM November 3, 2008

A few hours ago, Sarah Bacon, Yahoo Messenger's Product Manager, posted a post asking for Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 users to submit feedback. Don't worry if you are on XP, the message is toward the Vista users of Y! IM 9.0.

Most of us who are on Vista and use Yahoo Messenger have heard that the new Yahoo Messenger for Vista was discontinued. If you don't know yet, you can read more about that on the Yahoo Messenger Blog here. Well back to the point, Yahoo Messenger 9.0 has been a bit buggy for some Vista users. Though I can't complain much about it since I've just had one time that it went buggy on me. I don't know what happened but it worked normally afterwards.

Lately, almost every post that the Yahoo Messenger team or Sarah Bacon has posted has been heckled with Vista users begging and sometimes being a bit vulger about Yahoo bringing back the canceled Yahoo Messenger for Vista. The fight over the messenger has gotten out of the user's finger tips to "get-what's-given-to-you." This is the lowest I've ever seen Yahoo treat their members and users.

But oh well, everything in the world is now "Don't like it? Don't use it."

If you want more information, you can go to the Yahoo Messenger Blog or if you are already having crash issues with the 9.0 version on Vista you can e-mail Yahoo and send them what happened, what you were doing when it happened and if it's fixed what you did to fix the issue to vistatesting@yahoo.com. Remember feedback is crucial. It can even make 9.0 better for all :)

Ubuntu 8.10 is here - Download links are hot

With the new release of Ubuntu's 8.10 "Intrepid Ibex" the links that help provide and distribute it are already hot and the bandwidth tells the story. I have DSL with incoming max bandwidth of 700 Kb/s. I had to wait an hour until I got the whole download. Average speeds were 200Kb/s to 350Kb/s.

This kinda tells that Ubuntu is really getting up there.

This new release comes with tons of updates and security fixes. Not only that, it comes with a few new and improved features. Too much to discuss here.

Crush vs Smooth - Which is better?

2

Category: , , ,

In a simple battle for the best cigarette, the two top contenders have to be Camel's Crush & Marlboro's Smooth. So which is better?

On Camel's side, they have a hybrid version of a cigarette. The first hybrid cigarette ever. So what makes Crush a contender? Simple, the fact that if you are tired of smoking a full flavor you just pop the little menthol capsule and make it menthol. You kinda have two cigarettes in one. You have a full flavored cigarette with the power to pop it into a menthol.

Sadly for Crush, you can't reverse the menthol flavor. So if you accidentally crush the capsule, that's it. You're pretty much stuck with a menthol until the cigarette finishes. Or if you pop it but then fend for the full flavor, you're still stuck with the menthol.

Now what about Marlboro Smooth, what makes them so popular and a contender here? Well truth being, they are GOOD! Marlboro has a reputation of being classic and having great tasting cigarettes. Though you really don't have a choice weather you smoke a full flavor or a menthol (which is a strong peppermint menthol taste.) The thing now is to get the young ones in this cigarette war. The majority of all people, 18-24 years of age in America smoke a menthol preferred cigarette. Menthol is the new thing now.

Though it might be a new thing, it still has it's bad side. Marlboro Smooth is an icon for rebellious teens that smoke cigarettes. Underage teens at that. That's what probably brings down Smooth here. Smooth also being a one-type-of-a-cigarette cigarette, don't have what the Crush has.

Pros of Crush and Smooth: Crush and Smooth both are a peppermintish flavored cigarette. Though Crush still has a more stronger flavor than Smooth ever will, Smooth still has the power to rake in its smokers.

Cons of Crush and Smooth: Cigarettes are bad, no matter the flavor. Although lights and ultra-lights let smokers inhale a bit less more of the bad stuff, they are still bad. Not only that, teens hunt for the next best thing. Right now it's the menthol and the companies that are fighting to have the top product. When there's a war in the cigarette business, the consumers are always the ones that lose.

Author's note: I do not condone the smoking of cigarettes. I also don't condone the act of smoking under the legal age of your area. Names mentioned here are Trademarks and Copyrighted. Can't do the time? Don't do the crime.

God - My point of view

0

Category: , , , , , , , ,

In all sense, God is a mystical creator that has no beginning nor an end. The almighty powerful God can destroy all at a nano fraction of a second. Anything can and will be used, in the imaginations of man. No matter how strong, nor how weak he might make himself seem to be, he'll destroy you. But all in all he loves you. Yet all at the same time, he will ban your happy human soul to the eternity pits of hell... for eternity. Thus not us forget that he shall still love us as we burn in hell.

Is Tom supporting Firefox?

0

Category: , , , ,

WOW! Now it seems that MySpace supports Firefox over IE... I wonder what this means for Microsoft.

Well in a late night/early morning bulletin from Tom, Co-Founder of MySpace, he stated that some of the third party music player sites appeared to be down. Apparently the MySpace members who are using Firefox aren't affected. Also, he went on to promoting Firefox. Saying, "...either remove your music player, or switch to Firefox.. and make all your friends switch to Firefox..." That sounds like advertising to me.

Either way, Firefox IS more better than IE. Faster and more secure with almost endless customizations for it. From themes to addons to block ads. IE charges, Firefox doesn't. Did I mention Firefox is more secure?

I don't really think it's bad for Tom to advertise Firefox, even if he says he isn't. It just makes me feel all bubbly inside. He likes Firefox, I use Firefox. :) Ok I'm going over my head on this on.

Fact of the matter is that Firefox is already taking up 42.6% of the browser martket. That's nearly even with IE at 48.6% (IE6 & IE7 put together) for September 2008 usage. No wonder Tom recommends it. Besides, it's securer than IE.

Yahoo! gives up - No more Yahoo! Messenger for Vista

1

Category: , , , , , ,

Honestly, I was looking for a big time messenger that was going to out beat all Yahoo!'s past and other popular messengers out there. That came to an end as the Yahoo! Messenger team abruptly ended the Yahoo! Messenger for Vista project. Apparently, they stopped the process because it was taking resources to make a casual messenger (Yahoo! Messenger 9) better.

People that have commented on the Yahoo! Messenger blog have posted mixed opinions. From blaming Vista, to blaming Yahoo! on being too weak.

My opinion on all this is the following. I think the Yahoo! Messenger team WAS too weak. The fact that creating such a powerful messenger was just too much for the team. Not only that, I think the "team" is just a few members, 10 at most. Though it is hard to build a software from the ground up, it must have been done. Yahoo! is the last messenger giant that I'd expect to back off. This really puts them on a low spot, starting something millions of loyal users found interesting and used then just scraped it. This is a low move for Yahoo! Messenger.

Religion - My point of view

1

Category: , , , , ,

You know, I'm agnostic/deist with very weird point of views. I currently land on the categories of Agnostic, Deist, and somewhat an Atheist. It's not strange to have people look at me with a raised eyebrow when I tell them what I think about religion. Actually, when I start talking to them about what I think and how I feel about it, they end up learning a bit more.

Am I anti-christ for preaching against God? No, I really do respect that preachers that preach about God is a good thing. Faith makes up what people are now-a-days. Is it wrong how I think? I don't think so. Everyone is granted the freedom to choose and how to think.

So I don't really know how to start off so I'll do it the way as if you were asking me.

Ubuntu 8.10 Beta - The best keeps getting better

0

Category: , , ,

The Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex Beta is out!

Ubuntu, there's alot to say about it. When I first got Ubuntu, it was in the 7.10 area. Now it's going up a full version. As for the moment I just have 8.04 LTS. I don't really know much about Ubuntu but here's what I CAN tell you, the reader.

If you have no idea what Ubuntu is, it is an open software that operates your computer. What do I mean by that? In simple terms, it is an operating software. Like Mac, Windows, Linux. But it is on a Linux platform.

What do I mean by an open software? When you get a PC with Windows installed, you don't own the Windows installed. What you own is the computer's hardware and the license to run the Windows software. Kind of a bummer huh? With Ubuntu, EVERYONE owns the software. Meaning if you don't really like how it is running your computer, you can change the kernel (code base of the Ubuntu software) if you got the know how.

That's why I have it. Plus it is free. With thousands of good people that are making Ubuntu better, faster, and more free than ever, you just have to try it.

Well I'm not here to convince you into getting it, but I am here to let you Ubuntu user's know that the new Beta of Ubuntu 8.10 is out and the full release version should be coming out some time late October of this year (2008).

You can get more information from our info source site Softpedia. Or you can click here to go directly to their article on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

Barack Obama - Why I'm voting for him

1

Category: , , ,

8 years we've been ruled by the most dumbest, most ignorant president ever! Why do we need an older version of him in the office? McCain to me will be just like Bush. I'm tired of the Bush ways.

Look at the Republican's history and compare that to the Democrats. That should tell you more than enough. Hey, not to mention the money that the past Bush's have chunked out from us. The current Bush last chunked up at least $700 billion from taxpayer cash to help out local and international banks. I'm sure there was another way than doing that.

I'm looking for a change. I don't need our president to give the rich tax breaks while us middle classers struggle to buy milk and eggs.

I don't care much about the war in Iraq. I'd just say to stabilize the crap out of Iraq and send all our troops from Iraq to Afghanistan and do what we were supposed to in the first place. Find that damn 10 foot tall diabetic Arab.

I sense that Obama will do what he says he'll do. Only thing he has to do is fight through the super hypocritical Christians that claim that he's from another country. Truth is that he was BORN from a Muslim man and a White female from America. Half white, half black. Nothing else. Remember, you have to be born in America to be president. Muhammad Ahmed can't just come into America and become president.

All in all, I'd say look at what both have to offer. Compare what you've found and make your decision. Just, please vote. Vote for Spongebob, just cast your vote.

MySpace - How to lock yours down!

0

Category: , , , , , ,

Haven't you just had some annoying little perv messaging you, even from different MySpace accounts? How about some stalker that knows everything about you and messages you day and night? Got pics that are downloaded from you and posted as their display? Well I have a simple, but effective, solution.

Before you get all happy thinking that there is ACTUALLY a program to track MySpace users, don't. There isn't one and probably won't unless MySpace makes it. What you'll find here is just some tips you can do to tweak your MySpace privacy settings.

Ok, well first thing, you have to have a MySpace account with a "hater." Once you got that, you are ready to do a lock down! Sign in to you MySpace as usual. Now depending if you got the new MySpace homepage or the classic, you'll have to do either click "Edit Profile" or Account Settings. If you got the classic homepage look, click "Account Settings" it should be the second link just to the right of your display pic. If you got the new hompage look, click on "My Account" and that link should be just to the left of the "Sign Out" button.

Bailout - What I would do

2

Category: , , , ,

It is simple to make a plan, but it isn't simple to execute it. And well I know some of you have ideas on what you would do. I'm talking about the actions you'd do to those responsible and fixing the issue. Now, what would I do?

First, I'll need the power to do all of the following...

I'd get a super plan with popular support to increase taxes momentarily so that I can have funding and so American's can pay less for what they buy. High prices now are part of the reason why we are in an inflation. Once the increase on taxes is put forward, which it would only be about a 10% increase of current taxes (if your taxes are 8%, just add 0.8% so it'd be 8.8%), the economy will be benefited later. I'll talk later about the amount collected. And that should solve the first part.

MySpace with a playlist? - Remember this post?

0

Category: , , , , ,

Today, MySpace may have taken up on my idea. But for as this world being so big and MySpace having so many members, I'm not really sure if I was really the only one to message the MySpace Feature team. Look at my previous post here.

Below is a quote from Tom about the new upgrade.

MySpace Music has gotten a big upgrade! Today you'll find that some of the world's biggest bands have added their ENTIRE discography to MySpace--all the albums/CDs they've ever recorded! Our goal is to have every song from every artist, and we're almost there. We've also got a new music player which lets you add songs from these artists to your profile--not just one song, but your top 10 playlist. Of course it's all free, so start creating playlists using our new song search. Click here to start making your playlists.

You can still add songs the old way -- just go to a band profile and click the + button to add a song. Expect a lot more from MySpace Music in the coming months, and thanks to our friends at Toyota for helping make this happen!

I'll add more to this blog later today.

Yahoo Messenger 9.0 is out of Beta! - Finally!

0

Category: , ,

The Yahoo Messenger team finally launched out the full version of Yahoo Messenger 9.0! I've got to admit, it's pretty cool now. When it was in beta, honestly, it really sucked. It was slow, it crashed a billion times, a few bugs, and all in all it was just too betaish.

Now in the 9.0 version, you have nearly all the options as you did in the previous Yahoo Messenger 8. But what's cool about this one is that you can change the skin. Not only that. For us bloggers, there's a new feature called "Yahoo! Messenger Pingbox" which is an embeddable feature that goes into a blog. I'm fixing to add it as I type this, it's soo cool.

You know, for the first time, words just can't describe this. Go and download it and try it out. I'm sure you'll love it!

Remember, download this messenger from Yahoo only. Unless there's a site you trust.

9/11 Science vs. Conspiracy Theories

4

Category: , , ,

9/11 Science vs. Conspiracy Theories is found on a YouTube channel owned by, WarCrime911. This is why I have a strong belief that 9/11 was a conspiracy. This really matters even to today. As for Bush knowing 9/11 was going to happen before it did, makes him a liability to a conspiracy plot. And yet he is still our president, 2nd term I might add. Though it might be too late to kick him out of the office, it isn't too late to get him prosecuted for other charges like, oh I don't know, war crimes, conspiring terror, allowing terrorists into our country, and many more.

If you know a friend or family of a war hero that died in Iraq or Afghanistan, you are a victim of Bush's illegal activities. The internet for most is our worst enemy, but the truth is, the internet is one of our best friends. Honestly, the way I see it is that people don't like to dig for truth because they are stuck on what they are told at first. Don't just believe what you are told, look up, ask, talk about it. You'll know more than you thought. Look it up, decide, act. Don't be someone else's puppet.

"I support the troops, but not the war" - The truth

0

Category: , , , , , ,

It is a sad reality that when most of our war heroes come back to the states, they aren't greeted properly. Yet, the appreciated side of us some times shows. I, like most of you readers here, watch YouTube videos. I came across this one and it, well honestly brought tears to my eyes just to see this.

The YouTube member, SeleniumRectifier, gladly let me post the video on my blog. As I know about copyright laws and whatnot. I also like to give credits to Anheuser-Busch not because I have to, it really speaks without anyone saying a word. And also for the making this fine video.

Though the original title that Anheuser-Busch made isn't the title shown to title the video, it sure makes sense now to the majority of American citizens.

Age of consent should be when you hit puberty?

0

Category: , , , , , ,

This is the most absurd full load of CRAP I've read so far. Can you believe this? An evangelist believes this I was looking up some articles that bug me and I found this one on CNN.com. This guy, Tony Alamo, had his little compound raided September 20, 2008 for some allegations of him trying or actually marrying preteen girls to older men.

He publicly came out and said, "In the Bible, it happened. But girls today, I don't marry 'em if they want to at 14, 15 years old. Because we won't do it, even though I believe it's OK." He believes it is ok! Now I know the people in the Bible had their own little taboo's but this is a new world. Later he said, that for girls having sex, "consent is puberty." OH MY FREAKING GOD! That'd mean that I, being 23, can have sex with a girl of 14 or 15 and kinda feel ok about it, since they did it in the Bible! But hey, that's only if I believed in the Bible! I'm glad I'm an Agnostic!

You know, maybe this is why pedophiles and rapers are readers of the Bible... America censors the F-U-?-? word because it promotes violence but somehow a book that is apparently in the fiction section of your library is still on shelves. Strange huh?

I pity that man. He is already an elderly and still believes the taboo life of the Bible.

(My freethinking senses are tingling, I think I'm going to have a few comments on this post.) Go for it, unleash your thoughts!

Also, this is another reason why I'm Agnostic. Religious people are soooo.... this calls for another post on religion!

$700 Billion bailout from US - Is it too soft?

0

Category: , , , ,

When we are in economic distress, we rely on our government to help us up and clean out butts off. But when it comes to big businesses being neglectful with their money, if offers a minimum of 700 billion dollars of money we gave up as taxes.

My question, why do we, good and hard working citizens of this great nation, have to pay for another's neglict? The way I see it, we don't really have a choice. The choice is up to high paid men and women of the congress. Where do we get to have our say in on this? This should be a democratic nation, right? Why don't they just have the American citizens cast thier votes.

Oh wait, we're still in the Bush times. Where what ever he thinks will work, PUSH IT! Hmm, I hope the US Congress doesn't send the banks a free blank check. Oh, by the way, I hope you people know that your tax dollars are also going to help forigne banks... You hard earned tax bucks, paying for another country's bank.

Gas prices high, Oil prices down

0

Category: , , , ,

Honestly, I'm not that much of an oil analyst but if you really think about it, gas prices are high. "No DUH!" you might say. Hey, me too! You know, when oil prices were around 98 bucks a barrel the gas was, well, cheap! If I can remember correctly, they were around $2.59 per gallon?

Hmm, so is it just me noticing the cheap oil prices versus the high gas prices?

Ok, how about this one. CNN, ABC, MSNBC, hell all the news networks are saying "Oh well the price of oil is down because supply is higher than demand..." Screw them. If the supply was REALLY higher than the damn demand, don't you think the GAS FREAKING PRICES WOULD BE DOWN?!?! Ahem, I do.

Ok, MAYBE! Just maybe hurricane Ike just jacked up and destroyed tons of refineries, I think 2, and the prices are higher? Neh, we do have refineries that are still operational. Even after Ike came and went. So... this leads me to my next question.

Did the oil companies really like the income from before? HA! HA! HA! If you don't think so, consider this. You are the owner of a restaurant, the ONLY one in town. Prices for cheese go up. Heck, you jack up the prices in the menu. Then prices go down. Jeez, all the money was good huh. You can just keep the prices high to get more cash. Maybe you aren't like that. Maybe you are nice. Oil companies aren't nice. I think oil companies loved all the money coming in that they just decided to keep the prices high.

They are buying one (1) 42 gallon barrel of oil for $97 currently. If they refine the oil, they get about 19.5 gallons of gas per barrel. Not including other oil based products such as: diesel, asphalt, kerosene, and other products. Ok, I got my GED November 2007 so I know how to use a calculator. 19.5 gallons (times) $3.50 (average gas price) (equals) $68.25. Now diesel, one (1) barrel makes about 9 gallons. At $4.00 average that's another $36 dollars. Hmm, 104? Ok, I know. DO NOT FORGET the leftovers from the refining. Nothing goes to waste! All in all, that's about another $50 to $100 extra per barrel. I don't think they are playing very nice.

Consider this. $2.60 versus what you are paying now for the same price oil.

Check out Wikipedia's page for products based on refined oil to see the list of products made from ONE barrel and look up at how much they are sold for...

I'm out! Until later my good people.

9/11 - Another day or a painful memory?

0

Category: , , , ,

September 11, 2008 is just another day to most of us now. Tragically just 7 years ago that was just another day until people began to see the news or got a phone call or email about the tragedy unfolding.

Many like me were going about our daily lives. Until I saw the news about it popping up on CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, BBC, any news network. Today, for me at least, it is just a tragic thing that happened that day 7 years ago.

Some people, those who lost someone especially, will remember and still feel the pain knowing they lost someone that day.

One thing to remember, I respect everyone with greatest of passion. But this was just the beginning of more death. When the innocent people of America fell, along fell the fighters of our great nation and what it stands for.

Today, alot has changed. Now I can't go to the airport without having some stranger getting a federal check invade my privacy and tear up my freedoms in front of me.

Some people admire Bush for all that he has done to make us safer. Ask yourself, would you still admire him if you KNEW that he KNEW 9/11 before it happened? A fraction would still admire him. What about if he lied on TV about actually watching the FIRST PLANE hit the North Tower of the WTC? Hmm, a fraction of that fraction would. That just leaves about a few hundred people including his closest peeps.

With the greatest respect to all those that passed. We Will Never Forget. Scars heal, but that doesn't mean that we have to forget all those that were lost since that day, 9/11/01.

Since this blog was written, there has been 7,655 American lives lost since 9/11/01. Including the ones that died on 9/11 (2,974) and in both wars, Iraq (4,093) and Afghanistan (588).

New cigarettes - Camel Crush

2

Category: , , , ,

Camel's new-in-town cigarettes just came to south Texas. These are AWESOME!!!! In my opinion.

The great thing about these cigarettes, which to my knowledge, is that they are one of a kind. All other cigarettes just have one particular flavor. Example: Marlboro Smooth, Camel Frost, even Doral Full Flavor. They are all just one flavor. Camel Crush is different.

You get two flavors in one cigarette with Camel Crush. When you light up the cigarette, you get the Camel full flavor. If you want to go to menthol in the middle of your smoke you just squeeze the filter, kinda hard, and once you hear a pop, you then are good to go with the menthol flavor.

The pop almost sounds like a finger pop, you know when you pop your fingers? Well like that.

Remember, you must be 18 years of age or older in the United States of America to buy and smoke cigarettes. Other countries might have different minimum age laws for smoking cigarettes. Please respect those laws as well.

*Disclaimer: I bought the package of Camel Crush used in this blog. All products named in this blog are registered trade marks of their respective owners and are subject to copyright laws. Don't use or claim other people's products as your own or for personal profit. Please respect the law.

MySpace with a playlist? - One song or more?

1

Category: , ,

I just emailed MySpace for a simple suggestion last night and I got a quick reply this morning. Not the one I was expecting, which was: "We'll forward this to the prediction team." Or something of that manner.

I suggested that they'd extend the player capabilities for the MySpace player to play more than one song for casual members.

With the majority of today's artists being anti-P2P and today's P2P system and technology, it's easier than ever to download free, illegal songs. This is when I got the idea after seeing all these artists posting up playlists of their songs. "Won't it be bad ass if we had a playlist of our favorite songs?" I thought. My little light bulb faintly turned on and "HEY! I could just suggest this to MySpace!"

Hmm, well I don't think those guys read the whole messages because I got a reply telling me how to add more songs to my artist account. I could do that but now I have money to get my songs paid and legally now. Why do I have to make another account to put my favorite songs that are paid into a playlist when I still can't add more than one song in MY personal MySpace player?

Great suggestion but apparently to don't read well. I did reply to their message though. I'll post updates here.

I'm also going to be opening up a poll about it so cast your vote on either if you want one or not...

Georgian/Russian conflict - My Say

0

Category: , , , ,

I don't know much about the region or who did what to who first but I just have to fall in and say what I have to say.

Public announcement should have been aired. "Well our media condones that, they say what they want." You might say. To me, as long as Russia would have announced, "We will give you [so many hours/days] to step up or get out or else..." it'd serve as a hard copy that Georgia did something. Or vice versa for Gerogia to announce, "ASSISTANCE!!! They are going to invade!!!" Nope, I tried finding something that'd announce a forewarning.

So in my eyes I see that Russia just said, "Hey, let's invade."

For whatever reason Russia invaded Georgia, it still looks bad if it continues. Looks like the beginning of a WW3. History shows us that this has happened for reasons like or close to what is going on now.

I personally don't what another world war to flare up, let alone with Bush in office. American forces are spread thinner now than ever before. As you know. If WW3 were to begin, we'd be the first out of the WW3 mania and we'd be speaking Russian before the wars were over.

Nevertheless, if Russia has signed the cease-fire, pull out, don't be a Bush. Unless they want something to happen...

My thoughts and condolences are out the victims and children that have suffered mentally and physically.
